Community Council Minutes - December 2025 (EGM)

Attending: Community Councillors (CCllrs) Angus Cheape, Jill Hampson, Karen Morrill, Mark O’Bryen and Graham Pye; P&K Cllr Willie Robertson; 11 Members of the Public (MoP).

Apologies: CCllr Hugh Wallace; P&K Cllrs David Cuthbert, Neil Freshwater and Richard Watters.

Following the appointment of the Community Council members in November, it was necessary to hold an EGM. Cllr Robertson took the chair of the EGM, to elect the chair of the new Community Council as follows:

- Chair: Karen Morrill - Proposed: CCllr Pye, Seconded: CCllr Cheape

Cllr Robertson then handed the chair over to CCllr Morrill and the remaining officers were elected:

- Secretary: Mark O’Bryen - Proposed: CCllr Pye, Seconded: CCllr Morrill

- Treasurer: Graham Pye - Proposed: CCllr Morrill, Seconded: CCllr O’Bryen

- Data Controller: Graham Pye - Proposed: CCllr Morrill, Seconded: CCllr O’Bryen

For the time being, we are not intending to specifically elect a Vice-chair as we will all take this role whenever it is required.

Carol Farquhar was appointed as an Associate CCllr with special responsibility for Crook Moss Liaison; Proposed: CCllr Pye; Seconded CCllr Hampson

The Constitution, Standing Orders and Code of Conduct were adopted and signed.

The treasurer gave a brief financial statement: The annual top-up grant has been received from PKC, and the current balance is £944.00.

Dates of the CC’s regular meetings until the summer break are as follows:

• 6th January 2026
• 3rd February
• 3rd March
• 7th April
• 5th May
• 2nd June

The next EGM is due to be on 7th November 2028, and this one concluded at 7:35.
